Christie, the owner of Beattie Massage Therapy, has been a massage therapist for 13 years and is also trained in Hatha Yoga.
After more than 10 years as a certified aerobics instructor and personal trainer, Christie received her massage therapist certification in October, 1998 through the Natural Healing Arts School of Massage Therapy in Grenada, Mississippi. She is certified with the National Certification Board of Massage and Bodyworks and is a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Mississippi.
She is also certified in Orthopedic Massage and trained in sports massage and spa reflexology for the feet. Christie trained in sports massage techniques at the Olympic Training Center in Beijing, China. She is a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association and was a past President of its Mississippi Chapter.
Christie received her Yoga Instructor certification through the Center for Yoga and Health in Clinton, Mississippi and her training in Pilates from International Weightlifting Association.
